Shaped Cut and Emboss Folders post #2 - all about the golds and coppers

Evening everyone, hope you liked yesterday's post :)  Back with some more of the cut and emboss shaped dies. First up is this little box which I made using the hexagonal shape frame called Vichy frame.

I cut it out of copper centura pear twice - for base and top - and then once in white card, added versamark and embossed with copper embossing powder, cutting down and layering over the top of a piece of acetate which was added to the copper frame to make a window.
The box was made with Hexagon Gift Box die set and papers from Crafters Companion website, free papers called Autumnal Delight October 2017

Some closeup photos for you. - make a smaller hexagonal strip and adhere to the box, moving the score lines a little, but using the box die as a guide.

I was chuffed with this simple little box and I think Fiona and the Hochanda presenters were too as they picked it up a few times during the shows LOL. I think it would make a fab gift box..

Secondly this evening I am sharing a wedding card in cream and gold centura with was patina highlights using the Biarritz Cut and Emboss Folder

I used the corners of the Frame to partially cut the layers - text is computer generated.
To achieve the multiple layered Frames, I cut the frame in gold and cream and hand cut the cream one slightly smaller to reveal the dotty ''studded'' gold layer underneath.

The inside has been made by cutting and replacing the cut bits - I really like this effect, it makes for an interesting insert.

Back later during the weekend with my Christmas card tutorial using the final Shaped cut and emboss folder, as I am working on new samples for up and coming products I know are going to be a hit. I am sooooo excited and so fortunate to work with other great designers for Crafters Companion, thanks everyone!

Phew ... then I can break for Christmas!!

Disco Ball and Aurora Gemini FoilPress card with black

So I've save the shiniest of my samples made thus far for last.
The disco ball and aurora foils are pretty amazing.

And for this card I used one of the large foil plates too - be aware that you may need sunglasses for this one LOL..

Love the iridescence of these foils, notice how there is very little else added or used but the foil stamp dies and foil stamp and cut dies?

Here's my list of supplies:
Grand Chandelier Foil Stamp and cut Die
Ornate Frame & Corner Foil Stamp and Cut Die
Deluxe Chandelier Background Foil Stamp Die
 With Love Foil Stamp Die
Aurora and Disco Ball Foil

Have made a 6x6 inch easel card with an aperture in the easel for this one, the chandelier lends itself to this type of design..

To make a shadow of the rectangular frame, I cut a piece of black card and just didn't do the foiling part, so these dies cut and deboss like 'normal' dies too..

The aurora foil was used to foil using the large plate and make the background on standard smooth black cardstock, and the glitter ball foil used for the sentiment.

Hoping to be back with more foiled cards soon..have a good week everyone and hope you are all enjoying the launch of the Gemini FoilPress today.

Red and Gold Shimmer foiled card using Acetate

This post shows foiling on acetate (and you can also foil thin cellophane bags as well without them melting, I'm still amazed by this...)

So onto my next card which uses the Glimmer Gold foil, it is really yummy and looks textured even though smooth.

Be prepared for lots of photos in this post as I didn't really want to see myself (!!!) reflected, so lots of angles to catch the acetate foiling etc.

In this photo you can see the foiling on the outside and through the acetate to the inside.

Supplies I used were:
Trailing Heart Foil Stamp Die
 With Love Foil Stamp Die
 Confetti Border Foil Stamp Die
Berry And Gold Shimmer Foil

The inside of the cared shows just how you can foil one foil over another, different foils, different foil stamp dies etc - versatile...

Check back tomorrow for the glitziest card - Aurora Foil and Black!!

Gemini FoilPress post all about the browns

It's been a busy weekend catching up with friends and a trip to the NEC Creative Crafts show, hence I didn't get a chance to post till this evening, and I will share two Foiled cards this evening.

The first could double for a masculine card and / or Christmas, the stag's head is so regal and I love the design.

I used the following products:

Stag Head Foil Stamp Die
Flourishing Swirls 1 Foil Stamp Die
Special Friend Foil Stamp Die - sentiment
Gold Foil
tartan card from Stash (craft creations brand i think)

Lots of photos again so you can see the foiling on this one
The foiling acts as a 'resist' as well I notice, which is hand since after I foiled the stags head I inked with water based distress inks around the perimeter of the circle die cut and it gave a superb effect.

Doesn't that shiny golden foiling look fabulous?!

The foiling even works on textured card (payperbox card I purchased at the Crafters Companion shop in Evesham)

Inside of card decorated and layered with a big banner.

My next card is also along the 'browns' theme, and a card meant for a loved one's birthday.

For this card I used the following supplies:

GEMINI FOIL PRESS  HSN BUNDLE – Heart
Swirling Heart & Corner Foil Stamp and Cut Die,
Elegant Motifs Foil Stamp Die,
Sentiments & Accents Foil Stamp Die
Gold Foil

Gold foiling on ivory ribbon is so elegant, timeless almost.

Love the way the sun catches the foiling.

And the inside of the card - I put the two word sentiments together to make the message 'Happy Birthday, Beautiful'. Great to give to your loved one :)

That's all for this evening, I have a couple more to show and I am working on some others at the moment.  Cant get enough of all the shiny stuff LOL, the best thing since glitter 😄
