Large Graduation Card

Hi everyone, a new post with a change from weddings this time.
Very happy with the way it turned out, being that the only pre - made stuff I used was a tassel and printed card candi - all the rest is from basics, ribbon, card, die cuts, ink and embossing techniques..

So the colour scheme is a classic one for a graduation card and I loved making the mortar board using bits of die cuts, a pair of scissors and a ruler and scalpel until I was happy with the shape.
A chance to use an embossing folder which was still in its packaging - yayy!!
I partially embossed the inside of the card and yes its a large 7 and 3/4 inch card.

Some close up photographs- many attempts at getting a photograph to show the black embossed card!

The mortar board was layered using different thicknesses of foam pads and a bit of tweaking here and there.....

the little scroll was made using white card, cutting the edge roughly with scissors and tying some 3mm ribbon around it.

Partial Embossing on a Golden Wedding Anniversary card

Hi everyone, sorry I have been awol for a few days, but things got in the way of blogging!

Popping in then with a quick card share for a Golden Anniversary with lots of clean lines and white..

This card is similar to a Silver Wedding one I did last year, and I liked the design so much I did something similar, but omitted the paper boarder down the left, as the ribbon on this card is decorative enough plus the ribbon is gorgeous with the satin and gold threaded edges.

Some dimension in the champagne glasses achieved by cutting 1mm foam pads into thirds LOL - teeny tiny!!

and some more photos...

The Ruby Wedding Anniversary version will make an appearance soon LOL
