Inkadinkado Bird Feeder Card

Hello everyone, hope this post finds you all well. Popping in with something a little different, suitable for lots of occasions and for lots of ages, masculine or feminine.

I bought this stamp in an EK success web sale last Christmas and only got to use it now. when I tried to add a link I got a lot of conflicting information on google searches, so if you want to source the stamp, its either of these numbers... I think!  Stamp #860491 or #60-00499... you will recognise it when you see it and it is available on eBay. I will make a spring like bright and summery card with it next year too, I am sure, maybe using Grey Flannel memento ink instead of the Espresso truffle I used here.

So that embossing folder is one of the first cuttlebug folders I ever bought, along with my cuttlebug machine (my first ever die cutting and embossing machine!) and had used the folder seldom, but it was perfect for this project. the blue strip has an old cuttlebug folder as well.

The tag die was from Go Kreate and is just so like a parcel tag shape, I love the inked stenciled effect on this one. Hope you liked this card, and will be back soon. I have developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome so my crafting is a little limited at the moment, but I will pop in now and again :) New wrist splints ordered to help things a little.

Coffee n Cream Coloured wedding with a hint of pink - Sugar Nellie revisited

Another card I have improved on since the first version - funny when you look back at old photos and think ewww I should have done this or that!! It's good if our own criticism has a good effect on future work, don't you think?!

Anyway this is the same layout as before, but used a different shade of distress ink for the edges plus I added a hint of pink. Sometimes it's easy to get carried away with the ''need'' for die cut shapes but for this card all I did was mat and layer and use ONE corner punch, the double rounder.

NItwit Collections inspired Floral 60th Birthday card

Okay so today I have something different - not along the lines of Babies, Communions or Weddings for this post - but a Feminine birthday card, presented in a box.

I used Nitwit collections papers - two sheets from the same digi pack which is called Fine Linen which you can find HERE.

A martha Stewart doily punch for the centre border and some EK success daisy punches and leaf punches for the flowers

The 60 number shapes were cut using Quickutz dies.

some more photos to show the layering and embossing - kraft coloured cardstock embosses really well and I love the Colorset Suede shade - its very like Kraft card and matches so well.

Boy's Confirmation card

Back with a new design for confirmation cards, using text like I did on last years embossed communion cards - this time I also stamped text within an oval shape which I inked with distress ink too - like the effect.

Used different textures on this, hammered card, hessian embossed card and embossing folders, plus leather effect embossed card and they work well with all the white, keeping the design fresh.

The dove was very lightly dusted with pumice stone ink.

Stampin Up Special Blessings set - Sympathy Card

So sometimes you see a product or a stamp which you just HAVE to HAVE - and this is one of those... I saw this stamp set on eBay and bid on it and won. Postage was expensive but it is a retired Stampin Up set and i wanted it so much LOL!!
It's so versatile for Christenings, Baptisms, Wedding and Sympathy cards. 

tThe embossing was done with one of the first cuttlebug folders I ever got, the smaller size folders, which I used twice to emboss the A5 white sheet.

Flowers are a little EK success punch (OR the smallest of the Posy patch spellbinder flower dies are almost the same if you have those).. the leaves are a small EK success punch too.

Royal blue and white Wedding - Lili of the Valley Wedding Couple

Sorry it's taken so long to sort the photos and share these posts, but I thought I better hurry up and make sure I do.  It's no secret that blue and white go so well together and this card was no exception with the royal blue ribbon and pearls.

The same flower making technique used here as in my last wedding card post, except that I inked the petals with blue ink.

LOTV Man's Best Friend

Time for a general greeting card for a guy in this post, using a Lili of the Valley stamp which I had neglected to use until late last year. New years resolution is to use the perfectly fantastic stuff in my stash which has been neglected!!

I added texture to the sign post (made with Sizziz sign dies) by using an old cuttlebug branch design embossing folder, making it look like wood and added my own 'sign post' by rounding the edge of a strip of brown card. The wording on the sign is computer generated.

Flower Power 50th Birthday Celebration

LOVED making this card, because I know the recipient and because it was so fresh and funky and fun to make!

I used a Redonkadoodles digital image which was coloured with polychromos pencil crayons and some digi papers from Etsy again (yep Etsy has some fab stuff... too much maybe!)

I wanted the tag and ribbon on the card to be unusual to my normal style so I made a 'buckle slider' with the sentiment tag.

Those funky flowers are a cuttlebug die.

Wedding Card with a Simple Party Theme

A simple brief is often the most difficult right?  Well almost LOL... but I had an idea after seeing the invites for this wedding - I knew for sure that the card needed to have some sparkly thread and bunting.. the lanterns came later as a way of 'embellishing' the party theme chosen by the couple for their Wedding Day.

The lanterns are made with a Christmas ornament / bauble die, and the texture with an old Cuttlebug branches folder - very pleased with how they turned out!

Love the texture on the lanterns, I have to make more of these!!

Lili of the Valley Anniversary Card - LOTV Stamp Together Forever

Another older version of a card I revamped slightly.  

It's good to look at old projects and see how you can improve as time goes by!  This was an order for a lady's husband on their first wedding anniversary, and yes they're both redheads so colouring the image with the correct hair colours was well received LOL

A little light embossing on the pearlescent card stock and I used a fiskars border / corner punch for the heart punched border.

Wedding card - Lili of the Valley Over the Threshold

Hi everyone, phew am glad it's FRIDAY! My favourite day of the week, as it's the weekend. Just posting a few photos of a simple wedding card made this week.

Some of you may think you've seen it before and you would be correct - I made a card with a Magnolia TIilda bride and groom image a long  way back, and really liked the scroll arch / bridge die cut (an old 12 inch quickutz die), so decided to revamp with a 'new' Lili of the Valley stamp - I bought the stamp a few months ago..... and how scandalous that this is my first time inking the rubber!  I love this image now..

Di's Digi Downloads Hello Ladybird

So I am back with another card to share and it's not a wedding one LOL

This cute image is available from Di's Digi Downloads HERE, and was coloured with polychromos pencil crayons.

The card was made into an easel shape and I used a Martha Stewart punch around the page ladybird punch set, along with a cuttelbug embossing folder and an old quickutz ladybird die.

The inside of the card was punched the same as the outside, so there were LOADS of ladybirds!

The ladybird's body was cut using black funky foam and the wings from Craft Creations Glitter Board - great quality well covered board that doesn't disintegrate.
