Easel Card Drawer Box

Hi everyone, am popping in with something I hope will get EVERYONE in the Christmas spirit!

I made this box for Meljen's last month and will be adding a tutorial over the next few weeks, but wee bit busy at the moment with my own Christmas things, so will pop up a link when I have this and some other tutorials all posted to the tutorials page, so please be patient... thank you!

This is the image I used - Bundled little snowboy - the added bonus is if you like coloured prints and don't want to colour him in yourself, then he is available in B&W and pre coloured here.

A close up of the box and chocolates coming from the drawer and the yummy card candi from craftwork cards with silver polka dots!

And here is the same box this time made with a house mouse stamp - i love those little mice!

A side on view of the easel and those go kreate dies with the rounded corners.
Love the green gingham paper - you are likely to see it on some more cards this year!

will pop back tomorrow with something more to share.

Di's Digi Give Thanks Challenge

Hi everyone, from a VERY wet 'Sunny South East' of Ireland! I need paddles today and for the next day or so, and am hoping the weatherman's forecast gets better next week.
So, while I love snow and wrapping up and all things Christmas, it was a great change to make a fun fresh card without snow scenes LOL!

Hope over to Di's Digi Challenge Blog and join us for the next two weeks' challenge, Give Thanks.

The image I used is Henry's Mushroom tea, and I love hedgehogs so was delighted when Di started drawing them!

The butterfly punch is a Martha Stewart one and I used my new Happy Cut and a cuttlebug folder to emboss the dots - will add a tutorial in the next few weeks about this - how to successfully emboss a 7 1/4 inch piece of card with a small embossing folder - delighted to have cracked that one!

and lastly the inside of the card...

Meljen's Designs Honey Bears

Everyone needs to spread a little love, so here's a cute card with a message for your honey!

This stamp is from Meljen's Designs and you can find it HERE, coloured with polychromos pencil crayons and blended using sansodor and blending stumps.

The dies I used are spellbinders labels twenty two, Cheery Lynn Heart to Heart Doily dies, and the papers are from Bearly Mine Designs, called Love Dreams.

The inside of the card is also decorated with the die cuts and papers, to match the outside and hope you like the warm cozy colours in this card!

Penny Black When I'm with you

So this ribbon just HAD to go with this stamp and I love those bears sooo much!
the stamp is called When I'm with you and you can find it here
The ribbon is single sided, but with a bit of teasing you can turn it in your knot in the bow, to which I added a faux cardboard button (made with spellbinders heart shaped dies), tied to the bow knot with thinner ivory ribbon.

The ticket stamps are from Lili of the Valley and you can find them here - these stamps are fabulous because even if you have other small sentiments or create your own computer generated words, there are blank tickets which can be used.

close up of bow and embossing - used Boofle Patchwork embossing folder from docrafts for this and which you can find here - just goes with the country feel.

I decided to use this same stamp for a wedding card too, hope you like this!

here is a link to that gorgeous hearts and kisses ribbon, and the die is another Magnolia DooHickey die

Penny Black Water skiing Mouse

Popping in to say hello and hope your Monday was a good one! Made this card a while back using a Penny Black stamp called Water Lily Skiing which I teamed with Bearly Mine papers from the Spring Flight set.

The butterfly punch is a large Martha Stewart one, and the swirl is a Magnolia DooHickey one (you mightsee it on quite a few of my cards!)
The pearls are from Cottage Crafts and you can find them here.
Then scalloped dies are spellbinder ones called Labels Twenty Three.

... and a large photo showing the layers - I guess i really like dimension!
Gradually catching up with my photos and blogging...

No coloured images, just die cuts - CAS

So, here's an idea if you have LOTS of Christmas cards to make and its not too late!
These are the materials I used:
Cuttlebug Christmas wreath embossing folder
Stamp from Inkadinkado Holiday Silhouettes 99466
Spellbinders Poinsettia's
Cottage Crafts Lemon Pearls
Marianne Dies - Bird & Ivy

... and here is a side on view so you can see the layers and embossing even more.

See you all later, back to stamped images LOL! I could get used to these clean and simple die cut cards though, they are quite effective.

Nativity Decoupage Cards

Am back with a couple of decoupage cards, made using die cut decoupage from Craft Creations, one with background stamping and the other with patterned papers.

The snowflake corners were stamped using Inkadinkadoo stamps called snowflakes a plenty, and memento Paris Dusk coloured ink. You can find the decoupage sheet here

I finished the card with a beige memory box die cut called Leafy Branch

*******

This next card is made using another die cut sheet you can find here.  The colours in the image complement the papers and that gorgeous midnight colour ribbon (it's a blue and lilac mix, quite different), so happy with the result, which was finished with pewter coloured pearls from Cottage Crafts,

... and here are the layers and close up of that yummy ribbon:

Will be back with some more photos tomorrow!

The leaf die cuts are from a Magnolia Doo Hickey Die and the box was made for the card with the same cardstock used for the card blank.

Meljen's Orange and Brown Challenge

Hi everyone and hello again. Just sharing a cheery card for Meljen's Brown and Orange challenge this week.

I could have made something with a fall or autumnal theme but I wanted to make some birthday cards so used this adorable Autumn Flower Mouse image which you can find here.

those papers are luscious and from Bearly Mine Cheeery Days paper pack which you can purchase here.
The photo was taken in the evening so will add more detail images when I get home in the daylight LOL, and just to say that papers used are two different colourways - one in peach and one in brown from the same Cheery Days pack - perfect co-ordination! those two papers I used are in the preview of the digi pack in Donna's shop if you take a peek

Why not pop along and join us and take part at Meljen's Design Team and Challenge Blog, and play along?

Di's Digi Fall Colours + my fave twinkly paints

hello bloggers and fellow crafters, hope you have all been having a good weekend and those Christmas cards are in full swing LOL.
Am sharing a great feminine card, which would be great to send to someone who loves baking, and I have chosen autumnal colours for this one - those limy / green flowers, when the leaves start to turn and the browns and reds, just no orange on this one

Over at Di's Digi Challenge Blog, the theme this week is Fall Colours, and hope you can join in too.
I have used Gonna Bake a Cake image for mine and I just love the luscious choc layer cake and the little girls baking cap!

I have used Cheery Lynn Mega Fanciful Flourish die on this card, cutting the die so I could re position leaves and fronds where I wanted them

...and added some pretty Wild Orchid Craft flowers to which I added ultra fine glitter in an old rose colour pink and limey green colour, using art institute glitter glue to add the glitter as well as adhere the flowers.

...a closeup photos of the roses and cherry blossoms and the stitching onto the Nitwit papers from their Warm Fuzzies collection.
The tan coloured pearls are from Cottage Crafts, and you can find the range here, they are excellent value and each pearl comes off the sheet individuality, no need to cut the long adhesive strings on other brands!

and the inside of the card left blank for that special sentiment.

In case you are wondering about the skin colour, I used promarkers for that (yes you can colour hammered card which isnt usually suitable for promarkers as it can bleed, if you are careful). I used markers from light to dark, in the following order - antique white Flex Marker, almond, satin, march hare and sunkissed pink - delighted with the result!

Hope you like the card blank, which cardstock I also used for layering and the punched border - its kraft card from Craft creations which you can find here and its a great weight, good quality cardstock which I got in 12 x 12 sheets - am going to use more of it!

I am entering this card into some other challenges too:

Sketch 'n Stash - Challenge 100 use one of the catalogue sketches - I used number 82, here is the sketch

Stampin for the Weekend - All stitched up (got my sewing machine out after a long while..woohoo)

Will be back with more cards next week, as have been going through all the photos taken and not posted, so pop back again..
