Lily of The Valley decorated box

Hi everyone, not been posting much as kept occupied with this little project; couldn't wait to make it once I had the idea, it had to be realised!!
Love using LOTV images and love making boxes and non-card paper craft items, so this was perfect for my first Christmas project of 2012.
If you want to see other cards made with LOTV images, click HERE.

here is a better view of the snowman

... and the top of the gift box which can be picked up by the handle / ribbon, as it has been secured underneath, but....

... the ribbon slides through the top snowflake and you can lift of the lid and secure it again without tying any knots or creasing the ribbon!

and this is one of the sides where you can see some more die cut and glittered trees - the box is 3.5 inches square and about 10 inches high.

There is an Anything but a Card Challenge running over at Lili of the Valley's Ideas to Inspire until August 16th, so if you want to enter, here is the link to the Challenge Blog

Some Christmas stamps are starting to make their way into my stash but for now I want to share a summery card, because we haven't had enough 'summer' yet!

This weeks'; Challenge over at Di's Digi Challenge blog is

Here is my card for the challenge, a centre step fold:

added some wild orchid crafts mulberry flowers and die cut / punched leaves

Made a box using the same gorgeous red pearlescent payper box cardstock - it has such a lovely sheen to it and a soft red bordering on wine / burgundy colour, but not that dark.

... and here is the little tag which slots into a pocket behind the centre panel, ready for a little message.

I coloured the image with twinkling H2O and cosmic shimmer paints, and in this photo you might see some of the sheen from the mica pigments..
