Here is my DT entry for this time around - I made a goodie bag which idea I saw over on Stamp TV, and its a fabulous idea since I thought wow I LOVE it, made from one sheet of card and with no need to use glue so thats a bonus!!

the items used to decorate were from my gorgeous goodie bag supplied by Meslyn Crafts, and the pale pnk ribbon and base card from stash:
some more views of how the box opens..

not forgetting to decorate the back of course!

handbag invites

here are the handbag invites as promised, now that the recipient has received them to give out to all those being invited to a 50th birthday party..

the request I received was to make a handbag shape invite in green and gold, so went in search of a pretty green colour - the gold is slightly matt and not very 'yellow' or 'shiny' so it works well with the pale mossy green ..
the green card is called 'pea green' and is from Craft Creations and has green pearlescent effect on one side and smooth white on the other so needed a new blade when cutting on robo)/
the red card is from Craft Creations too and is red hammer card, the pink is from Cards and Scrapz.
the black and gold card was from stash

the flowers were made using one flower punch in one size ands using and embossing tool to make the inner petals curl, and then adding a glue gun made dew drop (coloured with gold alcohol ink) or added black pearl on the respective colours.
think thats it for now..

some wedding themed cards

meant to post these and completely forgot - oops!!
some of these cards I made last month and got left on the camera.. the first wedding card is a boxed one using my all time fave Whiff of Joy Wedding Carriage stamp, coloured with twinkling H2O's and embellished with flowers and leaves which I cut on the robo...
that gorgeous border is from a punch and is a fiskars border corner one - it makes a lovely continuous border along edges and around corners and is just as nice used on corners only...

and a close up of the flowers..

the next two are just decoupage ones but tried to make them bit more interesting with border punching too, to give them a lift - nothing as therapeutic a bit of cutting!!

and last but not least another wedding carriage one in royal blue and white (makes a change from navy and cream!!)

Birthdays & May workshop cards

just a few assorted cards to show you, some of which are from the workshop (trying to post in themes at the mo) - these are all different so put them all together on this post.. so its going to be a bit of a long one!!

the first couple are using stampendous Changito monkey stamps and going along with the monkey theme, I designed a banana border on the robo.. bnit of colouring, glitter and glossy accents and these were the two cards in the end
the next couple of cards (ahem there is a Forever friends theme developing here) are using one of the FF stamps and partial cuttlebug embossing (embossed after stamping to get the line up correct) .. the balloon was made by stamping that part of the stamp onto the pink card, cutting it out, and mounting it and then making dots for the shine with a white gel pen.

more forever friends cards, and this time I embossed the middle section of a piece of grape coloured pearlescent card after having punched the edges, used pearls and liquid pearls to highlight the embossed flowers and that was it - a simple card!

mens cards - seeing as fasthers day is around the corner and there are plenty of handyman/ diy Dads out there, I made these suitable for Fathers Day or for birthdays and found the most adorable tool brads Marina's shop (see contact details in left hand column) last month and of course Iknew they would go so well with these images. the papers are from cpi canon website (the wood effect paper and the tartan in browns) and the tool backing papers are from scrapbookingmad.com.

these two bithday / belated birthday cards were made with one of the first stamps I bought (little did I know at the time how much I would learn to love stamping!!) and its a Penny Black one called Scooter Dog..
I love that stamp and use it for all sorts of things!! papers are from scrapbookingmad.com again

the following three 'cards' are acutally money wallet / vouchers.
I have seen mens wallet and ladies purse effect cards but cant remember seeing the ones below anywhere, and that doesn't mean to say nobody else has had the idea!!

it came to me the other day when I was giving someone vouchers (we tend to give money or vouchers a lot now rather than presents people dont like / want or we dont know what to buy!)

the papers I got from a couple of sources and the 'card' is made with one A4 sheet, so its really easy. the closure is done with magents which are hidden inside or under the papers. I will no doubt make more of these for weddings, christmas etc so I will be putting up a tutuorial if anyone wants one (let me know if anyone does as we had great fun in the workshop making them!!

the first is a picture of the inside of the wallet, the rest are three I have made thus far..
the little puppy hiding in the parcel stamp was a freebie set from Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine as was designed by Adam Pescott

balloon papers from scrapbookingmad.com and their sister site cardmakingdownloads.com - here and here

the papers for this one were from The Elemental Pixie's Blog here - absolutely stunning papers on there thanks so much Angie

last but not least of all some MORE butterfly cards this time in brown and turquoise with cream, some stickles etc and hey presto! just cant tear myself away from these butterflies so expect to see more!!

handbag shaped birthday card

a handbag card which I decorated a little more than the original invites done a couple of weeks ago and made into a birthday card without any stamping or digi / other images for the meslyn mini challenge

the original card is green and gold and the handbag was designed for party invites whcih are little simpler (will show the pics when they are all done)

..the little card is (it fits into a square envelope) made without any colouring or stamping but embossing and cutting with my robo -
designed the template myself and it was taking too long to draw the flourish on design master II that I decided to draw the flourish freehand on paper with a marker, scanned it and then converted into a cutting file with the trace wizard thing in DMII..

.. added a little tag with birthday sentiment, used a gel pen for the faux stitching and some prima flowers, as well as the quickutz diamonds embossing folder, and can see me making more of these they are so girls and you can come up with all sorts of ideas for embellishing them and go wild with that end of it!!

Crafty Ribbons Strawberry Challenge

just couldnt resist this challenge or these ribbons when Ali put up the Friday freebie challenge, and this is what I made, using Craft Ribbons Strawberry Shortcake ribbons!

the first is a conventional fold square card using a digi image from Doodle Palace Digital Stamps which I coloured with twinkling H2O's and then used papers from Scrapbooking mad.com (take a look - they are well worth a visit!!) and I can see me using their things again and going back for more..

the second is a joy fold card (instructions on Beate's blog - I am getting fond of your tutorials Beate - the papers from scrapbookingmad.com again (See above), and the image is from Digi Web Studio. some hand writing (no stamp that small!).

the way this joy fold card works is that the green layer slips inside and under the sentiment which has foam pads down one side..

I really had fun making these and I hope you like them Ali - fabulous ribbons

feeling flowery!

just sharing a couple of cards with you that I made in the last few days..
the first one is similar to the free standing pop up card I did a month ago and i wanted to use my new fiskars punch on this one but keep with the hot pink, black and white theme, and an off centre layout..
here is the original post for details of what stamps etc were used -
the only difference this time is that I have a new pot of bright yellow flowersoft - YUM

the second card was for someone who loves gardening, so I used my paper nation stamp and then punched out flower shapes in the backing paper I used for the base card and
loads of punching with my Martha Stewart punches (grass and picket fence)..
..there are glossy accents on the watering can but because of the water in the twinkling H2O's (I think) it appears that there was a crackle effect which resembles crackle accents more than glossy accents!!
