Lili of the Valley Anniversary Card - LOTV Stamp Together Forever

Another older version of a card I revamped slightly.
It's good to look at old projects and see how you can improve as time goes by!  This was an order for a lady's husband on their first wedding anniversary, and yes they're both redheads so colouring the image with the correct hair colours was well received LOL

you can find this stamp on the Lili of the Valley website HERE

A little light embossing on the pearlescent card stock and I used a fiskars border / corner punch for the heart punched border.

Cupcake / Gift Gable Box with Strawberry Ribbon

So where did the sunshine go? Seriously though the garden was a little parched so we needed some rain, and the fresh smell after a shower is invigorating.
Am sure the sun will make an appearance again, and the vegetable garden is looking good again.

Onto my next project share, a gable box which was made from two 12 x12 sheets, enabling me to make flaps for sides and bottom from both sheets and the result was a good size box - it measured 6 and 1/2 by 4 inches when finished - good for two cupcakes.

these are the supplies I used
Craft Ribbons Strawberry Shortcake Ribbon - yum (if you live in Ireland and want to order the ribbon, just email Crafty Ribbons so they can calculate postage before shipping goods, as the checkout on the shop adds way more than it should, and they kindly told me to email them when ordering)
Spellbinders label dies  28 - the pink shape behind the sentiment
Spellbinders grand ovals /grand ovals
Craft Creations stripe paper
EK success retro flower or Spellbinders/Heartfelt Creations posy patch dies
an old quickutz strawberry die
not sure about the brand of the punch used for the centre of the flower but it was blue with a white round punch thing (not a lever) - maybe someone can help me out there!

Some more photos of the box..

... and here is the centre 'holder' so the cakes don't move around and make marks on the walls of the box.

Hope you like the look of the box, which has so many options in terms of decoration - I will be making a Christmas themed box with no window, just perfect for small gifts.

Baby's First Christmas

You may have see this card in a previous post, yes I am not going mad I am only posting it now, just getting around to finding links etc.  This version is done in neutral colours, but you could do it in any pastel for a boy or girl, and it's made with a stamped image - one of the older Lili of the Valley Stamps called Baby's First Christmas which you can find here.

The punch I used is a Fiskars one - Border and Corner one and so easy to use! - Snowbubbles

Here is a side on view so you can see the layering - I find I am using foam pads more than DS tape these days..I guess I started out with decoupage so layering is my favorite thing and always will be...

...and the inside of the card, partially embossed - I really need to do a video tutorial on this (reminder to oneself!)

That snowflakes embossing folder is so delicate, this was also partially embossed around the image, and works well for a baby as its delicate.

Meljen's Orange and Brown Challenge

Hi everyone and hello again. Just sharing a cheery card for Meljen's Brown and Orange challenge this week.

I could have made something with a fall or autumnal theme but I wanted to make some birthday cards so used this adorable Autumn Flower Mouse image which you can find here.

those papers are luscious and from Bearly Mine Cheeery Days paper pack which you can purchase here.
The photo was taken in the evening so will add more detail images when I get home in the daylight LOL, and just to say that papers used are two different colourways - one in peach and one in brown from the same Cheery Days pack - perfect co-ordination! those two papers I used are in the preview of the digi pack in Donna's shop if you take a peek

Why not pop along and join us and take part at Meljen's Design Team and Challenge Blog, and play along?

Am entering this card in the following Challenges:
Mojo Monday Sketch - Mojo 267

See you all soon :)

Di's Digi Challenge and its a Christmas card

Hi everyone and its a bit late, but still hoping you are all enjoying your weekends!
I have a pastel Christmas card to share for Di's Digi Challenges, and the theme for the next fortnight is:

Hope you will join us as am sure there are loads of you who have dies and punches, with there being so many fantastic ones on the market at the moment (actually tooooo many.. its so tempting all the time!)

Here are some close up's of the card which you can see is a recessed aperture one - my current favourite and very easy card style at the moment.

The mirri card makes the recessed image really 'pop' and you can see the spine of the card, scored to accommodate the recess in the photo above.

My partially cut die cut poinsettia, a Marianne die, finished with Cheery Lynn Leaves (okay I know the leaves should be as big as the petals but I decided on smaller ones!)
I used flowersoft in yellow and polar white for the flowers and hat.

And another view - also the Poinsettia['s looked nicer in pink, so I decided to make them that colour LOL!
The medium used to colour this time wasn't anything I usually use, and I decided to use my watercolour tubes again (colours paynes grey, Chinese white, terre verte and permanent rose all Windsor and Newton watercolours).
The watercolouring on the digi image is hard, but I was very careful with the lines.

You can find the digi image by clicking on the picture below, and I will put up a tutorial tomorrow for changing the colours on digi lines (mine are grey on the card).

Hope you pop in tomorrow.

Here is the card  - have used the new memory box cloud dies and a fiskars border punch as well as the Martha Stewart Photo corner punch.

and some more close up photos so you can see the clouds, which I inked and shaped...

Meljen's Challenge #126 Back to School

Hi fellow crafters, am back with another book card for a Back to School Challenge, cos I am sooo addicted to making these easy little paper projects!

This is my first Challenge entry with Meljen's and am pleased to share this happy Penpal Mouse with you, which you can find HERE.

So I decided to make a book card with brown, fawn and gold coloured card stock and printed papers from Bearly Mine CD Designer Extreme Volume 2.
There are over 600 papers on this CD with all different themes - clean, vintage, dots, floral, stripes, masculine , etc etc - the list goes on and on..............
and you can get it here:

some close up photos -
I drew the red line on the printed papers with a ballpoint pen,
the mouse from Meljens Designs, link above, was coloured with promarkers,
the blackboard I made with card stock, die cut numbers, embossing folder, corner punch and garden twine and a brad..

The apple is a cuttlekids die, and the stars are punched out with an EK success corner punch..

and the inside..

The rear view which shows the papers from the CD - I didn't distress these at all, this is how they print out..

why don't you pop along and join in the challenge this week over at Meljen's Challenges?

enough about tech hitches - onto my card for Bearly Mine Challenges, and the image I used for this was new Wee Stamps Holly stamp which I coloured in the gorgeous muted greeny blue colours like the ones you can see in the paper in the Spring Mist pack found HERE.

here is a close up photo of the layers:

Also, Donna has some new Halloween papers with the cutest critters over on the Bearly Mine Designs blog, and there's 25% off until tomorrow - go and have a peek!

Happy Hoppers New Baby Card

Thought it was about time I used a House Mouse stamp as I love them and had not made a card with one in ages, so here is one made earlier for a new baby card.
The stamp is a Happy Hoppers one called Sleepy Head from House Mouse Designs, and because the stamp is so detailed I just coloured lightly with Polychromos pencils.

The papers are from Bearly Mine Designs digi papers and the set is called Gingham which you can find here.

The baby bottle is a little flat back button I have had for ages, and the tag is half of a spellbinders label one which I only partially cut one end to make my own shape sentiment label thingy ?!

Am entering this card into a few challenges:
Bearly Mine Challenges - Anything goes
Simon Says Stamp - New Something
The Craft Garden - Monochrome (mine is all shades of pink)
House Mouse & Friends - Happy New Year Challenge - New
Sir Stampalot Challenge - Monochromatic

...off to sort out my untidy craft desk now - how much mess can you make doing one or a couple of cards...

Emma the Caroler from Fred She Said

A very quick post today as flying by and trying to finish some other bits n pieces.. this time of year flies away as 25th approaches!
The next card is a pre coloured digi (you can also get it in black white to colour in yourself, here) and the image is from Fred She Said, with Emma the Caroler in different colour outfits.

For this card I used only two layers, the base full picture and then the second layer is the Emma Image and birds cut out. there is a lot going on so didn't want to add loads of layers, this is nice just as it is.
the papers are from Bearly Mine and the pack is called Christmas Delight which you can find on the Bearly Mine Blog.
The punch used is a fiskars border corner one.

...some close- up photos of the layers, snowflakes and my own dew drops made with a glue gun - these ones are clear as they come out of the glue sticks, no colour was added this time...

Anniversary Cards with Penny Black and Lily of The Valley Stamps

Ok there are a few photos on this post, and the cards are all Pearl / 30th Wedding Anniversary cards,  following the same simple layout ( I seem to be either being doing very fussy or very simple cards lately!), using diffferent punches and different stamps and colour schemes.

Along with the theme of a Pearl Wedding Anniversary, I used Pearlescent card on all of them.
The photos arent great this time so sorry about that bloggers, but I was in a rush and didnt change the batteries in the camera, before snapping and giving the cards to the person who ordered them :(..

the Love Grows Stamp can be found at LOTV here.

the cuddly teddy stamp used on this one is Penny Black / Michael Woodward Creations Stamp is called 'When I'm With You' and the heart border corner punch is that familiar Martha Stewart one I like so much :)

above is one is another Penny Black / Michael Woodward Creations one called Lovin' Hugs and the punch I used on this one is a Fiskars Border Corner one

and another fiskars border corner punch to finish with another LOTV stamp also used on another card recently called Together Forever and can be purchased here.

thats two posts for today so making up for lost time and will be back with some more cards in the week again.

Workshop cards........a busy day indeed!

Hello fellow bloggers and crafters, its long overdue this post but the last week has been mental to say the least, I am chasing my tail but this weekend will be a bit quieter thank goodness.
Lot of cards to post when I have gone through the photos, but here are the first three from this weekend just gone by: (will pop back tomorrow with closeup pics and links)

the first is a love themed  6 x 6 card made with a Lili of the Valley stamp you can find here
the papers are from Craft Creations
the heart was cut using chipboard with a cuttlebug heart die and then painted with Picket fence TH crackle paint and distressed using aged mahogany
the punch is a Martha Stewart one, the daisy and leaves are EK success punches
oh, and the sentiment comes with the image stamp

some close up photos of the inside of the card...

... and the detail on the front so you can see the layers and inked punched edges etc..

the next card is a decoupage card, and yes there is a lot of cutting, but the shapes are nice and easy so its very satisfying - lots of layers on this one
the image is from Craft Creations and the sentiment die cut is from spellbinders
the punch used is a Martha Stewart one which I use A LOT  and cant recommend it as one of my
have - to - have ones (don't we say that about all craft stash!?)
the sentiment was heat embossed and is from a set made by Hobby Art Ltd

Last but not least, is one of my favourite fairy cards so far this year, because it came out looking a bit Victorian and although that wasn't entirely the intention, I really like the way it turned out!

The fairy is called Canterbury Bell and the stamps are from Crafters Companion
The Papers are from Bearly Mine Designs which you can find here and its called Flower Delight and the punched water is a Fiskars Punch an old blue one
The circular 'doily' die cut is a die from MFT - My Favourite things

Apart from the decoupage, the stamped cards are all coloured with twinkling H2O's

Bella expectant mum...

Just one card to share with you today.. been busy in RL and have some cards to upload, just didn't get around to blogging that much oops.....

I wanted to make a card using apertures again as I love making cards with depth and layers (for those who stop by you may notice that LOL!!).. this one is using a Bella Stamp which I have used quite a bit and is so sweet..

The punched border is done with a fiskars border corner punch and the apertures with regular spellbinders nestabilities, and the alphabet is cut out of foam using a quickutz harvest alphabet.

thanks for looking and promise to be back with some more in the next few days!!
oh and they might have more charms too as I have developed a fascination with charms... a must for the new batch of LOTV stamps I received in the post this week and what to make into Christmas cards- spoiled or what - I have very special parents, thanks Mom and Dad!!
