Me To You Bears' Confirmation Card

Popping in with a really girly Me To You / Tatty Teddy Confirmation card. This is a larger version of an older square 6x6 design card, which I also changed to suit the occasion, still retaining the colour scheme and the crochet doily die cuts from My Favourite Things.

Box decorated to match the card..

The card is a portrait A5 size easel card..

Clean lines and fresh colours - lemon, dove grey, mint green and lots of white with a splash of cerise pink.

You cant help but love Tatty Teddy, can you.  Hope you had a great day Emily :)

Projects from First Workshop for 2014

Hope you are prepared for lots of photos when you land on this blog post! Here are the recent workshop cards we made in Limerick, Enniscorthy and Kilkenny.

Tent card using Penny black image, finished with die cut foam embellishment using a quickutz die, image coloured with Polychromos pencil crayons.

This card has room inside the back of the tent fold for a 'hidden' tag.

I will post  a quick Hougie board tutorial in the next few days on how to achieve a QUICK and EASY tent card from an A5 landscape fold card blank, so keep an eye out for this :)

The next card was made with a pre-coloured digi, available from Meljen's Designs HERE:

The scene was created using a Martha Stewart grass border punch, Cheery Lynn fence die and dotty papers, and Memory box cloud dies.

- the inside of the card (we had a choice of valentine message or anniversary message for this card).

Partial embossing and inking on the next masculine card, using a stamp from Stampin Up an alterations embossing folder. This stamp may be retired but the GOOD news is I found it available as a digi HERE

For the next card we did simple and effective inking on the flower die cut and on the background using cloud shaped paper 'masks'. I will put up a step by step post on how I inked this flower and what inks I used, in the next few days.

A New Baby / Twins card made using Lili of the Valley Images:

and the new baby option - coloured in pink or blue for a girl or boy..

Confirmation Card for a boy or girl using the Spellbinders Reverence M-Bossabilities folder (Marion in the Crafty Bride in Kilkenny may have these in stock, so please check with her if you would like one - contact details on the workshop page or the  Retail Corner - Where I buy page).
The embossing on this card was partial embossing again, for a subtle hint of the design, a demo of which was done at the workshops (I will do this on video one of these days when I figure that one out!)

So lots of pictures on this card to show the embossing..

There was a choice of an Easter card instead of the sympathy one for those who wanted to make an Easter card, with more embossing and a stamped image from Flourishes stamp range.

Links to some of the products used this month, will be added to the Links to products page - please note that the products are linked by sections, i.e. all dies together..

Quite often I get asked what attendees can expect from a workshop day.
The answer is to have fun, pick up tips and help your own 'mojo' - in other words, give you ideas of what you can do with things you already have and learn something new!  For those thinking of coming along, here is some feedback from this month's workshop days:

Thanks to those workshop attendees for taking the time to let me know your experience of the day ladies :)

Thank you Jessica ... had a lovely time today ...please let me know when you r coming to Limerick again - Sharon

Thanx 4 a lovey day in Woodfield & for all the prep put into the cards. Peggy thoroughly enjoyed the day and method of layering cards - Mary

Had a fab day crafting with the very talented Jessica Meyer. Thanks for a great day. Lots of ideas popping inside my head so hope the week ahead will be productive. - Norah

Confirmation Gift holders

Popping in with some recent makes (lots to blog and not enough time, other things seem to take over a bit lately)!  So I had decided to do something different with this year's confirmation cards and since many recipients receive a gift in one form another I turned this gate fold card around and made a voucher wallet for gift cards, vouchers, etc

Here's a view of the inside with space for the vouchers and the sentiment.

These confirmation images are available from Karen's Doodles, here

I would like to say a special thanks to Karen for granting permission to use these digi's in my recent workshop - they went down very well with everyone!

The dove die is an old sizzix one which i think has been discontinued, but if you are looking for something similar try Cottage Cutz doves.

Couple of confirmation cards for girls

just popping in for a brief hello to share a couple of special confirmation cards made in last few weeks which I meant to post and completely forgot to oops.

the first is a girly pink version of one I did in plain white / silver / grey few weeks ago

the second one is a digi image one coloured with twinkling H2O paints and embellished a little with leaf sprays.

Lots of layers in this one and apertures to make it dimensional.

February cards

Seems a while since posting and been very bad at keeping blog up to date so here goes - some cards and for those who came to a recent workshop, sorry for the wait!
I have my old printer working again so now I can print digi images without the ink running (new printer is great for everything except the digi's or I haven't got the settings right).
Anyway onto the cards, they are all made with lots of white, so nice and clean and fresh..

An easel one with a Tatty Teddy / Me To You stamp suitable for spring / Easter or any other birthday occasion.. the greys are broken up with the lemon and bright cerise / magenta colours.

I love the embossing folders used on this one, especially the stitching effect... one folder is a cuttlebug one, the other a papermania one; both a gorgeous 5 x 7 size.

..you can of course leave the inside blank for your own message and the partial embossing is great for this..

a sympathy card made with a gorgeous detailed stamp from Time to Sow

Confirmation card made with various brands of dies and embossing folders from Provo Craft Cuttlebug, Cheery Lynn, Sizzix and Spellbinders (okay it wasn't my intention to use as many different die brands on one card, but they all worked quite well.. I think ..LOL)

..and not forgetting that Easter is around the corner, a kick stand card made with Penny Black Easter March stamp..

and the inside:

the last couple of cards are made from Images Dianne Carubia did for us last year over at Di's Digi Downloads - simple and striking designs for a very special occasion.
