Jayne Nestorenko Adorables part 3 and a tutorial

OK so this is part 3 of the samples I designed for the Jayne Nestorenko Adorables Stamps and Dies

Stamps can be purchased HERE
Crafters Companion PINTEREST inspiration HERE
Crafters Companion website inspiration HERE

I decided to post these two cards separately as these involve a little bit of a tutorial really, and there are loads of step by step photos.

Apart from the donkey, they happen to be my favourite two cards from the set of samples created....

All items used for each card are listed in another colour on each post, as you will notice that I like to mix and match items from different sets 😊

Sets called :Wash Day Wishes, Secret Garden,
Hide and Seek, Planting wishes.
Dies used to cut stamped images for masking.
Multiple stamps used to create one scene.
Coloured with Distress Inks / pencil crayons

So first up is a scene card using multiple sets of stamps for a garden theme:

Step 1 is to stamp the left and right floral / shrubbery images
Step 2 stamp these same images onto paper and die cut them

Before stamping the centre section with the gate, lay the stamped die cut shrubbery / floral die cuts over the stamped images on your base / original card.

and hey presto three stamps layered / masked to create one scene.

The lady / girl was stamped and die cut and mounted using 1mm foam pads for a little extra dept and to give the illusion of being in front of the whole scene..

The next sample is a little more in dept as the masking is also used to crate a scene with multiple stamps AND colour a background using home made cloud masks, ink and a dauber.

This card involved a fair bit of fiddling to get the geese in the right positions and give a little some illusion of distance! I think it was worth it in the end, as I'm pleased to say it was on a rolling video on hochanda's preview add during the launch - woohoo.

Sets Hide and Seek, Follow your dreams,
Special Friend, By the sea
Various stamps used with masking effect.
Dies used to cut masks

Coloured with Pencils

Papers from Crafters Companion
Download of the Month March 18 Spring Floral

Here's the tutorial, step by step (sorry for some of the poor images but this is very detailed so you should be able to follow..I had the idea one night and had to get it down on paper hence the poor lighting...)

Some closeup photos...

Okay that's a large post done and dusted, I'd love to hear any feedback you may have..

First up has to be my favourite stamp in thew whole range as this little character's face just melts my heart!

The hat was stamped, die cut and then another cut made to poke the little donkeys ear through (cut around the ear to achieve this effect).

Sets called Birthday Boy and Birthday Girl
 Coloured with Pencils
Flowers from Gemini Patchwork die called
Heart Patchwork and coated with Glossy accents
 Papers from Crafters Companion

Download of the Month Feb 18 Valentines

The next one is ideal for a childs birthday and the bunting echos the design in sheet from the paper pad.

Set called Birthday Boy
 Coloured with Pencils
Papers from 5x7 Adorables Scene Paper Pad

Some different views then - yes I put together the bunting, fiddly but worth it!

excuse the stray foam pad - those who know me know I'm back crafting now as I leave a trail of little white squares no matter how careful....

I think I'm going to end now and draw up another post for the remaining two cards as there are a lot of photos showing the step by step masking, and these will come in handy for those looking for a tutorial on masking and colouring behind masked stamped images.

Inkadinkado Bird Feeder Card

Hello everyone, hope this post finds you all well. Popping in with something a little different, suitable for lots of occasions and for lots of ages, masculine or feminine.

I bought this stamp in an EK success web sale last Christmas and only got to use it now. when I tried to add a link I got a lot of conflicting information on google searches, so if you want to source the stamp, its either of these numbers... I think!  Stamp #860491 or #60-00499... you will recognise it when you see it and it is available on eBay. I will make a spring like bright and summery card with it next year too, I am sure, maybe using Grey Flannel memento ink instead of the Espresso truffle I used here.

So that embossing folder is one of the first cuttlebug folders I ever bought, along with my cuttlebug machine (my first ever die cutting and embossing machine!) and had used the folder seldom, but it was perfect for this project. the blue strip has an old cuttlebug folder as well.

The tag die was from Go Kreate and is just so like a parcel tag shape, I love the inked stenciled effect on this one. Hope you liked this card, and will be back soon. I have developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome so my crafting is a little limited at the moment, but I will pop in now and again :) New wrist splints ordered to help things a little.

catching up........... with a Stamping Bella stamp

... yes I am doing that again - catching up! I have a few cards to show and didn't realise how many until I moved some photos.. oops.
Here is the first one, sent to Canada for a lady who has three black cats. I had the pleasure of playing with a cricut machine on loan from a friend (great fun thank you!!) so resized and cut out some black cats and teamed these up with a Stamping Bella stamp, coloured with polychromos pencil crayons.

The cerise pink colour didn't come out very well in the photos -  bright pink, black and white was the colour scheme..

And a side on view showing the cats tucked behind the main image..I like the way they look like silhouettes.

Will be popping back with some more cards over the coming days so keep checking back or subscribe to my blog if you fancy, using the email subscription box at the top right hand side of the main page - thanks for looking!

Di's Digi Give Thanks Challenge

Hi everyone, from a VERY wet 'Sunny South East' of Ireland! I need paddles today and for the next day or so, and am hoping the weatherman's forecast gets better next week.
So, while I love snow and wrapping up and all things Christmas, it was a great change to make a fun fresh card without snow scenes LOL!

Hope over to Di's Digi Challenge Blog and join us for the next two weeks' challenge, Give Thanks.

The image I used is Henry's Mushroom tea, and I love hedgehogs so was delighted when Di started drawing them!

The butterfly punch is a Martha Stewart one and I used my new Happy Cut and a cuttlebug folder to emboss the dots - will add a tutorial in the next few weeks about this - how to successfully emboss a 7 1/4 inch piece of card with a small embossing folder - delighted to have cracked that one!

and lastly the inside of the card...

am entering this card into these challenges:

Meljen's Designs Funny Bone Challenge

Yes, that's just what the title says - we are making humorous cards this week, and hope you like the sentiments from all the DT cards which are fabulous, and can see on our Challenge blog here:

So onto my card, then, a clean and simple design, so I can showcase this really cute digi!
Its called Little Possum and the link to the shop and the digi is below, just click on the image.

I coloured this little guy in promarkers and masked the image before inking the clouds in blue memento ink.
Hope you like the sentiment, am never normally good at my own sentiments, but this one seemed quite apt!

Pop along and join us for the challenge this week, there are some cute and whimsical images in Meljen's Designs' shop and some freebies you can use too!

Here is the card  - have used the new memory box cloud dies and a fiskars border punch as well as the Martha Stewart Photo corner punch.

and some more close up photos so you can see the clouds, which I inked and shaped...

Pop along and join us at Bearly Mine, where the Challenge this week is Anything Goes, and don't forget to pop along to the website where you can find lots of freebie papers AND some new blossoms to print out as well.
